Entrepreneurs invest a great deal of time, energy, and money in developing and bringing new products and services to the market. IP rights ensure that those investments were not in vain. Among other things, you prevent others from simply running off with your idea. And a good IP strategy is also attractive to investors.

What to expect

During the workshop:

  • we will look at practical examples of intellectual property in collaborations and ownership;
  • we will discuss the concept of 'freedom to operate';
  • we will highlight the value of technical details in patent publications.

This workshop is part of The Gate Academy and is provided by Rienk Rienksma and Paul Simons, IP Advisors at the Netherlands Patent Office.
