CLOSED - MHPSS Surge Mechanism is looking for a Technical Expert to support UNDP Ethiopia

The duration of the deployment is 3 months and the duty station is Addis Ababa. Starting date is as soon as possible.

The purpose of this deployment is to strengthen the integration of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) within HDP nexus programming. This will be achieved by supporting UN agencies and partners to assess local capacities, identify strategic entry points, build skills, and develop a joint project proposal that enhances the sustainability and impact of peacebuilding, recovery, and durable solutions initiatives.

We are therefore seeking candidates with proven expertise in both MHPSS and Peacebuilding. Since this is a new type of deployment, please clearly demonstrate your proficiency in both areas in your application.

Candidates are expected to hold a Master’s degree in Medicine/Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields must demonstrate at least four years of relevant professional experience.

Please refer to the Terms of Reference for more detailed information on this position.

When interested in applying for this deployment, please send a recent CV and mention your availability (including your potential start date) in your message to mhpss@rvo.nl. Candidates’ CV’s will be evaluated based on qualifications and sent through based on the order in which they have been submitted.
