An extra €900,000 of subsidy is now available for the subsidy scheme for demonstration projects, feasibility studies, and investment preparation projects (DHI). The funding is for DHI projects in emerging and developed markets.

First come, first served

You can submit your application until 31 December 2021, as long as budget is available. We process the requests on a 'first come, first served' basis. Read more about the conditions and method and apply on time via the Dutch DHI site.

Total budget

The DHI scheme is very popular. The original €4 million budget for projects in emerging and developed markets ran out quickly. This is why extra funding has been made available.

The extra budget brings the total budget for the DHI scheme in 2021 to €8.9 million:

  • €4.9 million for projects in emerging and developed markets, and
  • €4 million was for projects in developing countries.
There is still budget available for projects in developing countries, so we will not increase this budget.
