About the Dutch & Smart Cities
The Netherlands is renowned for its smart cities. Whether the issue is rising sea level, population growth, or transportation matters, the Netherlands is on the cutting edge of smart city solutions. Key to the success is cooperation between companies, government, citizens, universities and R&D institutes. Together they are working on tackling global problems related to topics such as sustainability, livability, energy and mobility on a local scale.
The business event is part of the Dutch Smart Cities Innovation Mission to Barcelona (11-15 November 2018), a collaborative effort co-organised by the cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven, Utrecht & Den Bosch, The Netherlands Business Support Office (NBSO) in Barcelona, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, VNG, Enterprise Summit and the Institute for the Future of Living.
