On 14 October, the World Trade Promotion Organization (WTPO) Awards 2020 took place. The Partners for International Business (PIB) programme was nominated in the ‘Best use of partnerships’ category. It was one of the 7 organisations nominated worldwide. The Best use of partnerships award recognises the successful use of integrated partnerships and networks to promote export development and impact.
The International Trade Centre (ITC) organised the awards. ITC is the joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. ITC's mission is to encourage inclusive and sustainable economic development. Its mission is also to contribute to achieving the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
Proud of the nomination
Business Sweden was the winner, but the Netherlands Enterprise Agency is very proud of its nomination. Advisor Annette Wijering: “Getting nominated for our partnership approach via the PIB programme is an achievement. Now we can show how the Netherlands is creating open, inclusive and sustainable public and private partnerships. At the same time, we learn from each other by sharing best practices on how we can best support SMEs.”
