The Netherlands Energy Technology Platform (NETP) celebrates its first anniversary. It has been renewed and expanded! This platform helps Dutch (sustainable) energy suppliers promote their innovative products among potential customers abroad. At the same time, it helps end-users abroad find available Dutch technology to facilitate their energy transition.

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the diplomatic posts in Brazil and the Gulf States established the NETP in collaboration with Currently, there are over 260 Dutch technologies available on the platform. In addition to being renewed and expanded, the platform is now also available in many other countries.

Diplomatic posts in 21 countries, including China, Germany and the United States, are now using the NETP to promote sustainable energy technology from the Netherlands. They have used it during trade missions, like the mission to Dubai in 2022, for example. Furthermore, the platform has the support of 15 sector organisations and regional development agencies.

Praise from foreign posts and businesses

In honour of the platform's first anniversary, Roland Martin, Consul General of the Netherlands in Rio de Janeiro, writes, "We will continue to encourage suppliers and end-users to join the platform free of charge. And for Dutch suppliers to use it as a strategic gateway to create business opportunities and awareness for their business abroad."

Paheerya Yushan, senior commercial (energy) officer at the Netherlands embassy in Beijing says, "It is a wonderful platform to get acquainted with so many Dutch innovative technologies and suppliers who can provide solutions for the most pressing matter of this day and age: decarbonisation and energy transition. A bonus is that we can do all that right here in China."

Businesses also praise the platform. Jairo Prezzi, business development manager at energy company Ampelmann Brazil says, "We recognise the role that the NETP plays in the energy transition market and want to be a part of the platform. As it can bring a diverse range of Dutch technology suppliers and the distribution chain of the local energy transition market closer together."
