Is your organisation a business, public institution, NGO or knowledge institution? Are you interested in working together through a public-private partnership in order to improve food security in developing countries? In that case, you can submit your project ideas for the second subsidy tender from the SDG Partnership Facility (SDGP) up to and including 1 October 2019.

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs is using SDGP to promote public-private partnerships. Its goal is to achieve the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) established by the United Nations:

  • SDG 2 - Ending hunger
  • SDG 8 - Decent jobs and economic growth
  • SDG 17 - Partnerships for the goals

Would you like to submit a project proposal for the second subsidy tender on behalf of a public-private partnership? Your proposal should cover one or more of the following themes:

  • nutritional value
  • sustainable value chains
  • sustainable and climate-proof food production systems
  • better work and income for youth and women

The theme of the first tender was the circular economy rather than sustainable and climate-proof food production systems.

When the received project proposal passes the threshold criteria, you will receive follow-up advice from a Netherlands Enterprise Agency advisor on your project idea. You may then apply for a subsidy from 15 November 2019 15:00 CET until 16 December 2019 at 15:00 CET. In the first tender, we awarded subsidies to 18 project proposals. Most of these projects are focused on Africa and the theme of sustainable value chains.
