Hollandse Kust (noord) Wind Farm Zone, Site V: 700 MW

A permit for the development of Hollandse Kust (noord) Wind Farm Zone Site V (700 MW) will be issued by the Dutch Government. Offshore wind farm developers can apply for this permit via a tenderprocedure. This is planned for Q4 2019.

Site studies, webinars and events

RVO.nl has commissioned various studies in relation to the wind farm zone in preparation for this tenderprocedure. All available data will be published at offshorewind.rvo.nl. RVO.nl will also provide a description of this wind farm zone in the Project and Site Description (PSD).

An introduction workshop HKNWFS for interested parties was held on April 18th 2019. Webinars for HKNWFS are scheduled. An overview can be found in the agenda.

Project and site description HKN

The Project and Site Description (PSD version April 2019) and appendices are designed to help any party with an interest in Hollandse Kust (noord) Wind Farm Site V in the Netherlands.  The documents describe the site, studies, surroundings and characteristics of HKNWFS V.

  • A summary of the Environmental Impact Assessment can be found on the RVO website (Dutch only). Because the information is already available online Appendix B (Summary of Environmental Impact Assessment) will not be published as a separate document for HKNWFS V.

Site Decision

The final Wind Farm Site Decision for Hollandse Kust (noord) Wind Farm Site V has been published in the Government Gazette on 11 April 2019. An unofficial translation can be found on this page. The term for public inspection of the Wind Farm Site Decision is between 12 April 2019 and 24 May 2019. Interested parties who submitted their views on the concept Wind Farm Site Decision can file an appeal on the final Wind Farm Site Decision with The Council of State.
