The program started in the Hague were the delegation was brought up to speed with Dutch policies on logistics. After the scene setter on the first day the delegation visited the port of Rotterdam to learn more about efficient logistics operations and port customs. Some of the participants were eager to learn about the logistics of food and perishables, therefore visits to the flower auction, Heineken and Agriport were well received. Besides the “usual” suspects like the Port of Rotterdam the group also visited the Port of Zwolle to learn more about inland ports and the hinterland connections. Other visits in the field of Warehousing, Distribution, E-commerce, Airports and Multimodality were well received. Besides the plenary program each participant got a tailormade program on the individual days of the DVP program.
