Digital Europe - Strengthening EU cybersecurity capacities & capabilities in line with legislative requirements

This European grant under the Digital Europe Programme aims to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across Europe and support the consistent implementation of EU cybersecurity legislation, including the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), NIS2, GDPR, DORA, the Cybersecurity Act, and specific requirements of the AI Act.
It also seeks to address the shortage of cybersecurity professionals through training, awareness-raising, talent attraction, and greater diversity. In addition, the grant aims to improve the overall level of cybersecurity across both the public and private sectors.

Conditions
Project proposals should contribute to, among others, the following objectives:
- Implementing EU cybersecurity regulation through standardized guidelines and processes, streamlined incident reporting and single-entry notification systems, and common tools for enforcement, audits, and information sharing across national, sectoral, and EU levels to improve coordination and resilience.
- Strengthening cybersecurity skills and education by developing ECSF-based training courses, exercises, and collaborative programmes, peer exchanges and fellowships to build a skilled and connected European cybersecurity workforce.
Submission criteria
- Public and private entities can submit applications under this topic.
- Only entities based in the EU (including Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs)), Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are eligible for this grant, provided that they are not (potentially) subject to influence or control by entities outside the EU, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
