IPC WASH Specialist with UNICEF Burundi
CLOSED - RVO is looking for a IPC WASH Specialist to support UNICEF in the response to the Mpox outbreak in Burundi. The duration of the deployment is 3 months. Duty station is Bujumbura with possible field visits. Starting date is as soon as possible. Kindly note that for this position WASH experts who are located in Burundi or the region are strongly encouraged to apply.
For this position the following is required:
Essential:
- At least five (5) years of experience, at the national and international levels, in the relevant areas of Public Health, Environmental Health, Civil & Water/Sanitary Engineering and Social Sciences.
- Previous experience in proving emergency WASH responses in complex environments.
- Fluency in Engslish and working knowledge of French.
Desirable: Experience or a sound knowledge of UNICEF mandate and goals or in UN organizations/agencies, health cluster partners, recognized humanitarian organizations.
