WASH Technical Officer with WHO in Myanmar

CLOSED - RVO is looking for a WASH Technical Officer to support WHO in the response to the Cholera outbreak in Myanmar. The duration of the deployment is 3 months. Duty station is Yangon with possible travel to Napitaw as needed. Starting date is as soon as possible. Kindly note that for this position senior WASH experts who are located in Myanmar or the region are strongly encouraged to apply.

For this position the following is required:

  • Essential: At least seven (7) years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in the design and implementation of water and sanitation assessment and/or the design and management of related projects in emergency situations. Experience in developing and promoting collaborative actions with national authorities. 
  • Desirable: Experience or a sound knowledge of WHO mandate and goals or in UN organizations/agencies, health cluster partners, recognized humanitarian organizations.
