Technical Specialist for Sustainability of Solar Powered Water Supply Systems (P3) with IOM Mozambique
OPEN - DRRS is looking for a Technical Specialist for Sustainability of SolarPowered Water Supply Systems (P3) to support IOM in Mozambique. The duration of the assignment is 3 months, start date is January 2nd 2026. Duty station is Pemba, Cabo Delgado. Kindly note that for this position, fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
For this position the following is required:
- Advanced university degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical,
Renewable Energy, or a related field) from an accredited academic institution with
at least five years of relevant professional experience. - Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in the design, installation, and
maintenance of solar-powered water pumping systems. - Demonstrated experience in conducting technical assessments and
developing technical guidelines or standards. - Previous experience working in developing contexts, preferably experience
in Mozambique or similar post-cyclone environments is a strong asset. - Strong understanding of integrating DRR and climate change adaptation into
infrastructure projects. - Experience with participatory approaches, stakeholder engagement, and
capacity building.
