Workshop ERC Starting and Consolidator grant

For whom?

The workshop is for researchers who received their PhD between 2 and 12 years ago. You want to establish or strengthen your (1^st) independent research team. You plan to apply for an ERC Starting or Consolidator grant to support that mission.

The workshop is not for grant advisors or support staff.

Learning objectives

• You will gain insights in the ERC rules and procedures.
• You will be able to evaluate the strength of your track record.
• You will gain insight in the term 'frontier science' and assess your own research idea accordingly.

What to expect?

This workshop is a short version of the full-day workshop. A maximum of 25 people can participate in the workshop. You will still get the essential information to achieve the above learning objectives. However, you will not be able to learn from a successful ERC applicant. As the group is larger than in the full-day workshop, there is less time for personal questions and discussion about your idea. 

We will give an extended version of this workshop on 2 June 2025, from 09:30 - 17:00 CEST. Both workshops will be in English.

Please note that both the full-day and the half-day workshop are no proposal writing trainings, but workshops dedicated to the specific features of an ERC application.

Registration

Please register via the online registration form before 17 June 2025. In the registration form, you can choose either 2 June or 23 June. The maximum number of participants is 25.

Are you unable to attend? Please let us know no later than 1 week before the workshop via teamiris@rvo.nl. Only then you will receive a full refund of the participation fee.
