Would you like people to be better prepared for the job market by offering them an internship or traineeship? If so, you can apply for the Practice-Based Learning subsidy scheme. This subsidy compensates employers' costs for supporting pupils, students or participants.

Budget

Start date:
Friday, 2 June 2023
09:00 (CEST)
End date:
Friday, 15 September 2023
17:00 (CEST)
Maximum € 2,700 per apprenticeship or work placement realised

Target groups

The focus of the subsidy scheme is on:

  • vulnerable groups who find it hard to access the labour market;
  • students following training in sectors where there is a shortage of qualified personnel;
  • academic staff, who are indispensable for the Dutch knowledge economy.

Budget

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science provides an annual subsidy amount until 2023.
A maximum of €2,700 applies to each internship or traineeship created. If the subsidy budget available to each form of education is exceeded, we will divide the budget between the applications for this form in equal parts.

Eligibility

Businesses and institutions which offer specific studies, internships or traineeships are eligible for the Practice-Based Learning subsidy scheme.

Conditions

Not every study programme, form of education or learning path is eligible for the subsidy scheme. The conditions for eligibility differ per education category. You can find the conditions ('Voorwaarden') on the Dutch version of this page.
