What is the Carbon Removal Innovation Programme?
The Carbon Removal Innovation Programme promotes the development and upscaling of technologies for removing and storing CO2 from the air. The programme provides support through grants, networking and knowledge sharing. In addition, we are working on a CO2 removal hub, promoting international cooperation through participating in Mission Innovation CDR, and gaining insight on the enabling conditions required to develop and upscale carbon removal technologies (in the Netherlands).
This is how we are working towards a climate-neutral Netherlands by 2050. This means that, by then, all activities in the Netherlands will no longer have a negative impact on the climate.
