The EIT aims to bridge the gap between innovation and commercialisation. It establishes knowledge and innovation communities (KICs) to connect the 3 pillars of the knowledge triangle (innovation, business creation, and education).

There are 9 different KICs, each forming a network of companies, universities, research centres, and other organisations. These communities regularly launch calls for proposals to identify high-potential companies. They also play a key role in upskilling the workforce to meet the demands of emerging deep tech sectors.

Although the EIT has been active since 2010, its opportunities remain relatively unknown among researchers and innovators in the Benelux region. To raise awareness and foster engagement, the National Contact Points (NCPs) of the Benelux have joined forces to present this info session to you.
