The Netherlands and green hydrogen
The Netherlands plays a leading role in building a worldwide hydrogen economy. Our ports and infrastructure serve as a vital hub connecting to the rest of Europe. Plus, Dutch hydrogen companies are able to turn innovative ideas into practical solutions. These companies show their innovative solutions to a worldwide audience at WHS.
Dutch and international political leaders, invitees, organisations, and companies will attend the summit.
World Hydrogen Summit
Register for an exhibition visitor pass. With this pass, you will have free access to the exhibition floor where you can meet Dutch and international companies, visit the Netherlands Pavilion and multiple other country pavilions.
Note: The main WHS ‘Summit programme’ is not free of charge.
Visit the NL Pavilion
Stop by the NL Pavilion on 21 and 22 May and:
- meet 8 innovative Dutch startups and scale-ups, and learn more about their contribution to the global hydrogen economy;
- take a look at the hydrogen map, which provides an overview of the hydrogen infrastructure in the Netherlands and beyond;
- meet hydrogen experts from the Dutch government;
- talk to representatives of the public-private partnership Platform Waterstof Internationaal, and find out more about the Netherlands as a hydrogen country.

Tuesday 20 May
During this workshop, ports, network operators, and energy policy makers from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and Germany gather to discuss cooperation in hydrogen infrastructure.

This session is organised by the ministry of Climate and Green Growth, the Benelux General Secretariat and the ministry of Economy in Luxembourg.
This session will focus on social and environmental best practices in green hydrogen development in Morocco, Mauritania, South Africa and Namibia. How can you contribute to social and environmental goals like economic development, water management or energy access? How can we best mitigate social or environmental risks within green hydrogen projects?

The H2 Tech Action Stage morning sessions are organised by Gasunie, the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), Frauenhofer Institute (Dld) and International Energy Agency (IEA).
The Finance Forum takes place on Wednesday afternoon. This forum will focus on financing green hydrogen projects abroad. It will discuss the opportunities and developments of both emerging and developed countries. You will also hear more about unlocking green hydrogen demand, and securing off-take agreements.
