SBIR commissioned innovation
SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) is the method the government uses to challenge entrepreneurs by taking part in an innovation competition. During this challenge, entrepreneurs deliver innovative, solution-oriented products and services that will address social issues.
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency runs the SBIR competitions on behalf of various government agencies. With an SBIR competition, clients can take advantage of the innovative force of companies. All SBIR-calls for tenders result in contracts for research and development for various subjects. In the process, the government is a potential customer, also known as a ‘launching customer’, for the product or service developed.
You may only submit a tender for a particular call during the period that the SBIR call is open.
