EU agriculture subsidies
The EU Member States work together in drafting Europe's agriculture policy. Their joint forces result in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). EU policy intends to ensure an adequate food supply in Europe and a reasonable selling price for agricultural products. The CAP provides for a variety of different subsidy schemes, such as the single payment scheme. Information on awarded subsidies is published each year.
