Dutch trade mission to CES 2025, a unique opportunity
The Netherlands will attend CES 2025 with the latest and greatest in innovative Dutch startups.
Since its founding in 1967, CES has become the world's leading tech event. It is the place where the global tech community gathers every year.
CES 2024 attracted over 138,000 attendees from more than 161 nations and territories. This makes CES Las Vegas the perfect stepping stone for the latest tech innovations. It is also ideal for meeting investors, companies, customers and the media.
The trade mission's kickoff will take place at CES Unveiled Amsterdam on 15 October 2024. Additionally, you will have access to our preparation programme that includes coaching, PR support and masterclasses.
This mission offers you a unique opportunity to showcase your innovation, get international attention and expand your market.
CES Unveiled Amsterdam
As a CES Las Vegas attendee, you will gain automatic access to CES Unveiled in Amsterdam. It is CES 2025 Las Vegas' official pre-event and media show. At this unique event, we will unveil the official delegation for the Dutch trade mission to CES 2025.
At CES Unveiled, you will get many opportunities to present your startup to a wide audience of companies, business leaders, regional startup hubs, the media and investors.
Eureka Park, the place to be
Up to 50 startups will be selected for the Netherlands Tech Square, our startup pavilion at CES' Eureka Park. This is where you will find the latest and most innovative startups from the Netherlands.
Which startups can apply?
We select startups that fall within one of the De Nationale Technologiestrategie categories:
- Optical systems and integrated photonics
- Quantum technologies
- Process technology, including process intensifcation
- Biomolecular and cell technologies
- Imaging technologies
- Mechatronics and optomechatronics
- Artificial intelligence and data science
- Energy materials
- Semiconductor technologies
- Cybersecurity technologies
However, we also invite other innovative and ambitious startup companies to apply.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play a central role within this trade mission. For many young tech enterprises in the sector, it will be a unique opportunity for global exploration and exposure.
Selection criteria
A jury of independent experts will select and invite companies to take part based on set criteria. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organiser of CES, must approve the selected companies. The criteria include the following:
- Your product fits within the area of interest determined by CTA.
- Your product represents one of the technologies falling within the listed categories. On top of that, it must distinguish the Netherlands internationally.
- Your product or service is innovative and disruptive.
- Your product is available to demonstrate with a functioning business model.
- Your company has the ambition to scale up internationally in the short term.
CTA has extra criteria for startup applicants.
Fee and subsidy
The participating fee for this startup mission is about €4,400 excluding VAT per startup. This amount is subject to change. We will confirm the exact costs at a later date. The fee covers:
- stand rent in Las Vegas;
- stand construction in Las Vegas;
- participation at CES Unveiled Amsterdam;
- participation in the preparation sessions.
Travel and accommodation are at your own expense.
Stand rental and construction
The fee covers rental and construction of a basic booth. However, if you need more chairs or an extra TV screen, you can arrange that via Export Partner for an additional fee.
Export Partner handles the logistics for this year's trade mission to CES Las Vegas.
Subsidy
If you meet the below criteria, you can apply for a 50% subsidy for your participation fee. You will pay around €4,400 per startup if you do not meet the criteria.
Subsidy criteria
You are eligible for a subsidy if you meet the following criteria:
- The Consumer Technology Association has approved your company.
- Your company is a Small or Medium-sized Enterprise (SME).
You are required to show a declaration to the De minimis aid when applying for a subsidy to which the De minimis regulation applies.

CES Innovation Awards 2025
We advise you to register for the CES Innovation Awards 2025. Do so before mid-September 2024.

You can no longer register for this mission. We will select up to 50 startups for this trade mission.
Women's entrepreneurship
We encourage women's entrepreneurship. We do not select participants based on gender. But we challenge you to look for women participants within your organisation to take part in this mission.
Responsible Business Conduct
The Dutch government emphasises responsible business conduct (RBC) and endorses the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. These state the RBC standards for internationally active entrepreneurs. Following the OECD guidelines is one of the conditions for participation in this mission.
