Offshore wind energy

Being carbon-neutral by 2050: that is the Netherlands' goal. Offshore wind energy plays a central role in achieving this. It is an important part of climate policy and crucial to speeding up the sustainable energy transition.

The wind energy sector aims to generate 21 GW of sustainable energy by 2032, enough to power millions of households and businesses. It plans to do this by building wind parks in the North Sea.

International opportunities

Experienced Dutch companies and knowledge institutions are active at all stages of wind park development; from site surveys to environmental impact assessments. These organisations are internationally recognised for their innovation and efficiency.

Sustainability targets in the Netherlands and worldwide are ambitious, creating opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs in the renewable energy sector.

Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference

The Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) brings together the international offshore wind energy sector. Every year, it hosts businesses, experts, foreign guests and startups from around the world. It is a good place to network and see the sector's latest innovations.

Incoming trade missions from the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), Finland, Ireland, Poland and the United Kingdom will also visit the conference.

NL Pavilion

The NL Pavilion is the Netherlands' representation at OEEC. You will find staff from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, at the NL Pavilion. The pavilion also offers matchmaking sessions to help you network with other entrepreneurs.

The International Clean Energy Partnership (ICEP) organises the pavilion. ICEP supports Dutch entrepreneurs doing international business in renewable energy.

For whom?

We welcome companies, knowledge institutions and startups that are active or are planning to be active in the wind energy sector.

Why you should not miss OEEC

RVO and Partners for International Business host delegations from the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), Finland and South Korea. Members of the ‘United Kingdom Floating Offshore Wind’ Strategic Multi-Year Market Development Programme will also be there. You can meet them at OEEC and the NL Pavilion.
