Join the trade mission to Quantum Korea 2025!
Are you a Dutch quantum tech company with international ambitions? Join us at Quantum Korea 2025! At the largest quantum tech event in South Korea, you will discover business opportunities, innovative partnerships, and build valuable relationships in this rapidly growing market.

Why South Korea?
South Korea is rapidly growing in quantum technology thanks to strong government investments and many research initiatives. The country has a fast-growing ecosystem of quantum start-ups, top universities, and multinational tech giants.
- South Korea is the 4th largest economy in Asia and the 13th largest in the world.
- It is a gateway to other large Asian markets.
- South Korea has a very active government policy. The Korean government invests heavily in quantum computing, communication, and sensors. Over the next 5 to 7 years, the government plans to invest one billion dollars in the ecosystem.
- More and more collaboration with foreign partners is taking place. For example, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Netherlands in 2023, where quantum is identified as an important area for cooperation.
Opportunities for Dutch Companies
South Korea offers many business opportunities for Dutch companies. Therefore, Quantum Korea is the ultimate place to gain insights into all the opportunities South Korea and the rest of Asia have to offer.
- R&D and collaboration: In early 2025, South Korea will become the first Asian country to join Horizon Europe as an associated member, offering new funding and collaboration opportunities.
- Quantum Computing & Hardware: South Korean companies and research institutions are working on the next generation of qubit architectures and cryogenic control systems. This creates opportunities for Dutch hardware suppliers to collaborate, co-produce, or supply essential components.
- Quantum Software & Algorithms: Large companies such as Samsung and LG are investing in quantum software. Dutch developers of quantum algorithms and applications can cooperate in areas such as optimisation, simulation, and quantum AI.
- Quantum Communication & Security: Quantum communication is considered critical for national security in South Korea. There is a demand for quantum-safe cryptography and solutions for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). Dutch expertise can meet this demand.
- Quantum Sensing & Metrology: Korean industries – from healthcare to advanced manufacturing – are seeking precision and efficiency through quantum sensors. Dutch sensor developers have a direct entry into a growing market.
