Workshop ERC Starting and Consolidator grant
Are you planning to apply for an ERC Starting or Consolidator grant? Would you like to understand more about the success factors to increase your chances? And are you looking for tips on how to write a promising proposal? Then, come to our ERC Starting or Consolidator grant workshop.

For whom?
The workshop is for researchers who received their PhD between 2 and 12 years ago. You want to establish or strengthen your (1st) independent research team. You plan to apply for an ERC Starting or Consolidator grant to support that mission.
The workshop is not for grant advisors or support staff.
Learning objectives
- You will gain insights in the ERC rules and procedures.
- You will be able to evaluate the strength of your track record.
- You will gain insight in the term 'frontier science' and assess your own research idea accordingly.
What to expect?
This workshop has a highly interactive character. During this workshop, you can benefit from the group and trainers' experience and insights. You will also have the chance to meet and discuss with a successful ERC applicant. The small group setting allows plenty of time for questions and discussion about your proposal/idea.
We will give a short version of this workshop on 23 June 2025, from 13:00 - 17:00 CEST. Both workshops will be in English.
Please note that both the full-day and the half-day workshop are no proposal writing trainings, but workshops dedicated to the specific features of an ERC application.
