If you are the authorisation holder for one or more plant protection products for professional use and you sell these products in the Netherlands, you must report the quantity of active substances you have sold each year.

Why you must submit a declaration

We gather data on the sale of active substances in plant protection products for professional use. As a member state of the European Union (EU), we submit the information each year to the statistical office of the EU (Eurostat).

The Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (College voor de toelating van gewasbeschermingsmiddelen en biociden, Ctgb) gave you permission to sell one or more plant protection products in the Netherlands. Plant protection products contain one or more active substances. For example, chemical substances or microorganisms.

What you must declare

You must declare the quantity of active substances in kilograms that you sold for professional use in the past year. You do not have to declare the sale of active substances for private use.

If you did not sell any plant protection products from 1 January 2023 until 31 December 2023, but still held an authorisation to sell one or more plant protection products in the Netherlands during that period, you must also submit a declaration. Please enter “0” on the form in this case.

When and how to submit your declaration

You can submit your declaration for the year 2023 as of 1 May  2024. We previously indicated that it was possible to do this until 31 May 2024. Have you not yet submitted your declaration? Then please do so before 1 August 2024.
