Opportunities for startups

This Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) startup trade mission to Slush focuses on ambitious young tech companies that want to expand their business with a scalable business model. We collaborate with regional partners to provide exciting events and expand your network.

Slush is a great opportunity to:

  • present your product or service to a large, international audience;
  • validate/test your product or service;
  • attract new customers;
  • create partnerships with other companies;
  • meet potential investors;
  • attract talent; and
  • gain knowledge about the European and global market and competition.

Slush provides an excellent platform for spontaneous encounters, networking opportunities, and taking on challenges.

Slush 2024

Over 13,000 attendees, 4,200 startups, 2,200 investors, and 650 journalists from all over the world gather at Slush in Helsinki. The event offers startups the chance to showcase their products and services to a large and diverse audience.

NL Lounge at Slush

With Slush at your doorstep, the Netherlands (NL) Lounge is your home base for networking at the event. Individual stands per startup are not available.

RVO, in collaboration with partners, organises several side events where you can meet investors, coaches, and fellow entrepreneurs.

For whom?

You can register for this mission if you meet the following criteria:

  • Your product or service is high-tech, innovative, and potentially disruptive;
  • There is proven market acceptance for the product or service in the Dutch market;
  • You have already started or are ready for international scaling;
  • You are seeking seed, series A, or series B funding rounds;
  • Your startup is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.

Do you not fully meet all criteria but have a convincing reason to attend Slush 2024? Please explain why you should be part of the Dutch delegation when applying.

Registration and fees

Register for this mission, and do so before 15 July. Each participant must register separately.

Our startup missions play a crucial role in growing and developing a startup. Therefore, it is essential to fully prepare and participate in the mission programme to ensure success. With that in mind, we ask you to attend the preparation meeting and fully engage in the Helsinki programme. Please consider sending a colleague or rethinking your application if you cannot attend.

Selection

RVO emphasises that participating companies align with the mission's setup and focus. Registration does not guarantee automatic participation.

We evaluate your registration based on the abovementioned criteria. In the registration form, you can specify how and why you meet the criteria. We will consider this information when making our selection.

Furthermore, we encourage female entrepreneurship. While we do not select based on gender, we encourage you to consider female participants within your organisation for the mission.

Participation fee for this mission is €500 (excluding VAT) per company. Only 2 participants per company can take part. This fee will give you the following:

  • Access passes for unlimited entry to Slush for 2 participants;

  • Use of the NL Lounge as a meeting point and stepping stone for Slush;
  • Participation in side events like breakfast sessions, Helsinki tours, embassy drinks, and other networking events with NL partners;
