There is a separate assessment for organizations within the research group which are part of a multinational enterprise and which do not publish accountability information at the level of their individual organization’s business activities.

These organizations are eligible for a separate assessment under the criteria for international group reports. This separate overview provides insight into the transparency of Dutch decisions pursuant to the EU Directive on non-financial information.

To be eligible for this separate list, the group report must comply with a number of minimum criteria. Similar to the last Transparency benchmark in 2019, organizations with an international group report will be rated according to the criteria stipulated in the EU Directive on non-financial information. These organizations must demonstrate compliance with and refer to documentation for each criterion.

The self-assessment tool has a new functionality for group reports. All companies are requested to log-in to the online tool for the self-assessment. If we know in advance that a company is part of a multinational enterprise which do not publish accountability information at the level of their individual organization’s business activities the tool automatically guides you to the assessments for (international) group reports.

If we don’t have the information in advance a question for verification will be asked before companies can proceed with the self-assessment for group reports. The information shared in response to the question for verification is checked by our research team within 1 working day. In the unfortunate event that the information fails to comply with the criteria for international group reports, the organization will have until 30 June 2021 to complete the regular self-assessment after all, using what accountability information is available for its individual organization’s business activities.
