China is investing heavily in the energy transition. Over the next decades, the Chinese government aims to further develop offshore energy projects. For instance, local governments in Jiangsu and Guangdong plan to realise more than 30 GW of projects by 2030. The northern provinces of Shandong and Liaoning are also developing plans to roll out offshore wind power.
