Innovation can be of great value for the competitive position of your company. Research & Development (R&D) helps you grow your company, stay ahead of your competitors and save money. Take some time to see if you can reserve a part of your annual budget for R&D. With a healthy R&D budget, you can focus on developing or improving products, services, and processes. R&D may create opportunities in new or existing markets.

R&D in the Netherlands

The Netherlands has a long and strong tradition of developing innovative projects worldwide. In sectors such as water, energy, and food security, we lead international R&D in new technologies.
Dutch businesses and knowledge institutes often seek cooperation with partners abroad. We want to create projects that have a long-lasting local impact worldwide. So, we offer subsidies and programmes for innovation projects and R&D.

R&D subsidies

Innovative entrepreneurs in the Netherlands can apply for our R&D programmes. These programmes are available for small and medium-sized businesses and multinationals, start-ups and family businesses. Whether you are developing innovative software, inventing tools for the construction industry, or designing a more efficient production line for the food industry. The programmes are:
