If you are the authorisation holder for one or more plant protection products for professional use and you sell these products in the Netherlands, you must report the quantity of active substances you have sold each year.

Why you must submit a declaration

You hold an authorisation from the Board for the Authorisation of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (College voor de toelating van gewasbeschermingsmiddelen en biociden, Ctgb) to sell one or more plant protection products in the Netherlands. The European Union (EU) Member States gather data on the sale of active substances in plant protection products for professional use, which they submit to Eurostat each year. Active substances are substances that are active against insects, fungi and other harmful organisms, including microorganisms. Plant protection products contain one or more active substances.

What you must declare

You must declare the quantity of active substances in kilograms that you sold for professional use in the past year. You do not have to declare the sale of active substances for private use.

If you did not sell any plant protection products from 1 January 2023 until 31 December 2023, but still held an authorisation to sell one or more plant protection products in the Netherlands during that period, you must also submit a declaration. Please enter “0” on the form in this case.

When and how to submit your declaration

You can submit your declaration from 1 May 2024 until 31 May 2024.
