Requirements for a residence permit for foreign startups

As an ambitious startup entrepreneur outside the European Union (EU), you might qualify for a residence permit for foreign startups. You can apply for a temporary residence permit valid for 1 year. During that period, you can start a company focused on an innovative product or service.
To qualify for this scheme, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must work with a trusted and experienced mentor (or facilitator) in the Netherlands.
- You have an innovative product or service.
- You have a step-by-step plan to develop your idea into a business.
- You and the facilitator are both registered in the Business Register of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce KVK.
- You must have adequate financial resources to reside and live in the Netherlands.
