The need for support in Ukraine is huge. Funding projects with money from the commercial sector is virtually impossible. The Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF) supports projects that work on damage repair and sustainably restoring the country's economy and society. UPF does this by funding water, health and agriculture projects. Here are some examples of impactful projects that have received funding through UPF.

UPF projects

Projects include:

Building a prosthetics and rehabilitation centre and setting up an educational programme for medical specialists

This project aims to reconstruct a rehabilitation centre and generate jobs. Dutch experts will share their medical knowledge with Ukrainian medical personnel. Combined with training trainers in Ukraine, this will improve the skills of over 380 medical personnel. At least 500 people will receive rehabilitation services and prosthetics yearly. Also, more people will receive medical care at home.

Partners: Netherlands for Ukraine foundation, Healthcare4Ukraine foundation, Superhumans Center

Beyond Trauma: Scaling up community mental health care for children and youth at risk in conflict-affected communities (Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi and Khmelnytskyi region)

Project partners will help renovate 11 local health and community centres. This project aims to strengthen access to Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) at the primary care and community levels. MHPSS addresses the need for better local mental health care and stigma reduction. This project focuses on children and youth.

Climate-smart potato demo centre

Ukrainian farmers need seed potatoes to increase their productivity and improve food security. This project aims to increase the availability of high-quality, affordable, locally-produced seed potatoes. Project partners will build new storage facilities, introduce drip irrigation, upgrade farm equipment, and organise training and demonstration sessions for farmers.

Partners: Agrico Holding, Agricultural Production and Handling (APH) and Agrofirma Andriivska LLC

Expanding access to diagnostics for improved treatment and rehabilitation (Dnipro region)
