For whom?

This training is designed for entrepreneurs, innovators, and companies of all sizes who want to protect their ideas and strengthen their competitive position. The training is also relevant for consultants and intermediaries who guide companies in the strategic use of IP rights to promote growth and innovation.

Programme

During this training, we introduce you to the different IP rights and look at practical examples of IP in collaborations and ownership. We also discuss the concept of freedom to operate (FTO). In addition, we highlight the value of technical details in patent publications.

  • We use the first half of the workshop to give an overview and explanation of the various IP rights.
  • In the second half of the workshop, we work on a case study to give you insight into how different IP rights work in practice.
  • After this, there is time for questions.

This training is provided by the Netherlands Patent Office, in cooperation with UtrechtInc and the Center for Entrepeneurship of Utrecht University.
