On 21 May, the International Hydrogen Guide 2025 was officially launched. Now in its fifth annual edition, the guide showcases the Dutch hydrogen sector to a global audience. The launch took place in Ahoy Rotterdam, during the World Hydrogen Summit. At this event, hydrogen experts from around the world come together to share knowledge and inspiration.

The guide's launch took place during the networking reception at the NL Pavilion on the WHS exhibition floor. Various organisations involved in creating the guide made a valuable contribution - like pieces of a puzzle, each added their part. From left to right: Jörg Gigler (TKI Nieuw Gas), Lotte Schippers (RVO), Fabian Benschop (Voyex), Eric Rath (Fluidwell Hydrogen Systems), Marc Hasselaar (ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken) and Magrita Noordmans (FME).

Hydrogen guide 2025: 'Excelling in Hydrogen: Solutions for a Sustainable World'

The international hydrogen guide 2025 showcases the latest developments in the Dutch hydrogen sector. It contains a visualisation of the hydrogen value chain, and over 270 company profiles.

The guide will help the Dutch hydrogen sector promote itself to a global audience. It will be shared with embassies and consulates, and used at trade missions and international affairs.

Compared to previous editions, the 2025 edition of the guide focuses more on infrastructure and hydrogen import. Also, there is a stronger focus on profitability and energy security, and blue hydrogen is now included.

The hydrogen guide results from a public-private partnership within the International Clean Hydrogen Partnership (ICEP) trade promotion programme, commissioned by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was assembled by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, FME and Topsector Energy (Innovation Programme TKI Nieuw Gas).

Putting the Netherlands on the map as a hydrogen country

Next to the export guide, a digital, interactive hydrogen map shows a detailed, up-to-date overview of all hydrogen activities in the Netherlands. The map was developed by Missie H2 and TKI Nieuw Gas.

The Dutch innovative strength

With the guide and the map, the Dutch hydrogen sector is seeking international collaboration and trade. The instruments show the experiences and solutions the Netherlands can offer when it comes to hydrogen. They highlight the Dutch innovative strength.
