We are excited to announce the 'Organ-on-Chip & Organoids' innovation mission to Boston in the autumn of 2026. This is your opportunity to gain insight into the rapid developments and investments in OoC technologies in Boston. This fast-growing industry is transforming drug development, disease modelling, and personalised medicine.

What to expect

This mission will bring together experts from both the Dutch and U.S. ecosystems to connect, explore research and development opportunities, and collaborate on advancing OoC technologies. Participating in the mission will help identify opportunities for Dutch-American collaboration. Together, we aim to establish a new industrial sector dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes.

Who can participate?

This mission is intended for entrepreneurs, researchers, engineers, clinicians, ethicists, business developers, and anyone affiliated with a knowledge institution, academic medical centre, technology company, or patient organisation. If you are actively involved in the field of OoC technologies and organoids and are interested in transatlantic connections to further your research or solutions, this innovation mission could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Why Boston?

Boston (Massachusetts) is a global leader in Life Sciences and the healthcare sector. From research and development to entrepreneurship and commercialisation, Boston is at the forefront of biotechnology, mainly due to its supportive ecosystem of government, businesses, universities, venture capital, and entrepreneurs. Moreover, the partnership (including MoUs and collaborative programs in Life Sciences & Health) between Massachusetts and the Netherlands is unique. There is no other formalised agreement between the government of Massachusetts and any other country that is comparable. The core of this partnership is to improve the lives of patients, and it remains relevant and successful due to the dedication of both parties to this transatlantic collaboration.

The cost for participating in the innovation mission is €350 excluding VAT per person. This includes:

  • Participation in the collective program
  • Transfers to and from program events
  • Lunches and dinners as outlined in the programme
