The goal of this 3rd Open CYSSDE call is to support European organisations in strengthening cybersecurity trough penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and enhanced risk monitoring.

- Application period: 27 February 2026, 10.00 CET – 28 April 2026, 15.00 CEST
- Budget: Up to € 200,000 per selected proposal. The co-funding rate is 50% of the budget included in the application form.
- Expected number of projects funded: 12
- Estimated project duration: 18 months
- Subsidy programme: Digital Europe
For whom?
CYSSDE is looking for applications from individual entities or consortia (up to two entities) specialising in cybersecurity. Eligible applicants include SMEs (including micro-enterprises and start-ups), mid-caps, large companies, research centres (including universities), and public bodies. They must be legally established in an EU Member State or EEA country and active in the cybersecurity domain.
About the call
Selected beneficiaries will conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments primarily for end users (the minimum number of penetration tests/assessments is 10). Eligible activities (non-exhaustive) include:
- hiring specialised personnel
- acquiring or developing tools and testing environments
- conducting applied research
- accessing intelligence services
- delivering advisory or assessment services aligned with the needs of NIS2 entities
