BMKB ACS - Application information
Applying for a SME Loan Guarantee for Aruba, Curaçao, or Sint Maarten (BMKB ACS) is handled through one of the affiliated financiers. You don't need to initiate the BMKB ACS application process yourself.
Budget
The only thing you can do is ask your financier to use the surety scheme if necessary. This is how it works:
- The application for a surety loan coincides with your loan application with the financier.
- The financier decides whether to grant you a surety loan and under what conditions.
- If the financier is willing to grant you a loan, you must negotiate the loan terms with them. Naturally, the financier must comply with the BMKB ACS terms and conditions.
- After the offer is signed, the financier registers the granted surety loan with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
Commission
Upon concluding the surety loan, the financier owes a one-time guarantee commission to RVO. This commission is based on the surety loan, and the rate depends on the term. The financier passes this commission obligation on to you.
Duration in quarters | Warranty commission |
---|---|
up to and including 8 | 3,90% |
9 up to and including 24 | 4,25% |
25 up to and including 48 | 5,85% |
Various terms
The term of the surety is a maximum of 6 years from the date of the first repayment. If the loan is intended for investment in a building or ship, the term is up to 12 years.
Repayment and suspension
The rules that apply to a surety loan (such as the size, term, repayment, and suspension) depend on the type of business (start-up or established entrepreneur) and the purpose of the loan. You begin repayments no later than 12 months after signing the loan agreement. Depending on the type of surety and the business, it is possible to suspend the loan for a certain period.
